Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, evidence-based approach that helps clients understand and change unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It is a structured and goal-oriented method of talk therapy that is flexible and adaptable to all ages and issues.

At Be Sonder Therapy we utilize CBT in an eclectic way to meet each client’s unique needs. This can look like incorporating psychodynamic therapy, IFS, somatic therapy, or existential therapy into traditional CBT interventions.

Regardless of the approach taken, the most important important part of any therapy is creating a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel safe exploring their experiences. It is within that safety that clients can learn to shift their thinking, improve emotional regulation, and take positive steps toward healing and personal well-being.

Sessions involving CBT will often involve learning exercises or tools clients can use outside of sessions to build coping skills and promote long-term growth.
