Intensives

Focused time. Deeper work. Meaningful movement.

Some problems don't fit neatly into a 53-minute therapy appointment.

Be Sonder Intensives give you dedicated, uninterrupted time to focus on what brought you to therapy—whether you're working through trauma, processing a specific experience, repairing a relationship, or trying to break a pattern that has kept you stuck.

Couples Intensives

For couples who need dedicated time to slow down, understand their cycle, and work through a specific relationship issue. When an hour isn't enough.

Sometimes couples don't need another appointment—they need uninterrupted time to actually work through what's happening.

We can focus on:

Communication
Learn to communicate without immediately falling into the same cycle.

Conflict
Understand what's underneath the argument and practice responding differently.

Trust & Betrayal
Create space to begin addressing the impact of betrayal and determine what rebuilding might require.

Connection & Intimacy
Explore emotional distance, unmet needs, and patterns that have gotten in the way of connection.

Parenting & Family Stress
Work through recurring disagreements about parenting, boundaries, and family responsibilities.

Relationship Crossroads
Create a structured space to slow down and understand what each person wants and needs.

EMDR Intensives

More time. Less interruption. Focused trauma work.

EMDR intensives provide an extended therapeutic format for clients who want dedicated time to work toward specific treatment goals using EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches.

An intensive may be appropriate for:

  • A specific traumatic experience

  • A distressing memory

  • A recent traumatic event

  • Anxiety connected to a particular experience

  • Persistent triggers

  • Relationship or attachment wounds

  • Trauma-related patterns that feel difficult to shift in traditional weekly sessions

High-Conflict Couples Intensive

For couples who feel stuck in the same argument, struggle to communicate without escalating, or need help creating a healthier way to navigate difficult conversations.

Potential intensive goals:

  • identify the couple's conflict cycle

  • establish rules for difficult conversations

  • identify escalation patterns

  • develop individual regulation strategies

  • practice repair

  • establish boundaries

  • address parenting disagreements

  • create a conflict plan

  • develop a plan for continued therapy
